Links specifically for Muslims on the Whey \ Rennet issues

First of all don't forget about signing the petition:
http://www.petitiononline.com/MarsWhey/petition.html

Specifically for Muslims, here are various links mentioning the whey \ rennet issue that give different views from different perspectives, some saying that it is allowed, others erring on the side of caution and saying best not to eat it and others saying it is not allowed (best to try and read all of them!):

For the following you need to search for the word rennet to find the relevant section:

The following is from an Internet forum:

In fact even the Wikipedia mentions a little about the rennet issue for 'Strict followers of the dietary laws of Judaism and Islam'!!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese

At last, something that Jews and Muslims are united on. Keep up the good work, this decision by Masterfoods is appalling.

Thanks - remember people - we will all get a lot further if we work together to at least meet our common needs. Also in the words of Martin Niemoller (prob spelt wrong):

When they came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak up for me.

Even though we may not agree with the beliefs or ideology of certain people, if they are facing injustice and oppression (or lack of chocolate!!), we should not just ignore them or turn a blind cheek. Most people only get involved in fighting against injustice once they feel it themselves, either directly against them or through members of their family or friends
